Muthuvel S (1916 – 1984) was not born in a large family significantly. In the ordinary peasant family, at Perumpacheri Village in the circle of Sivagangai in Muthuramalingam District, Muthu was born on March 13, 1916 to Subbaiya Pillai and Karuppaiye Ammal couples. Muthu’s father Subbaiya was died in the year 1919. Thereafter, Karuppaiye had accepted the overburden to save Muthu and her elder son’s future. Muthu has completed his fifth class in School. In the year 1928, when he was 12 years old, he has moved to Burma for searching a job. Muthu was worked 350 miles away from Rangoon. In a Chettiyar house, he was preparing himself to work on the accounting. He has not stood for long days in Burma. He came back to homeland in 1931 and he has started with agriculture in his hometown.
In the year 1932, he went back to Burma to do agriculture. Finally, in the year 1936, he puts an end to his job and returned back to hometown. In 1937, he joined in Madura coats as a labor and he started his life as a politician in the same year.
